The NELSON HARDIE 3400P provides exceptional coverage for medium sized trees and vineyards with dense foliage. The Nelson exclusive 34" dia. 9 blade SUPERTUFF® reinforced composite fan pressurizes the fan housing for an even spray pattern and features adjustable blade pitch to match your tractor's horsepower. Made from glass reinforced Polyamide® with flexible toughening agents, this fan resists abrasion and is lightweight (weighing only 12 lbs.) minimizing shockloads to the drivetrain during start-up and shut-down. 

Blade pitch can be adjusted easily from 25° to 50° so you can match the 3400P perfectly to your tractor horsepower. Changing the pitch can be especially helpful down the road if you choose to switch to a tractor with a different horsepower. Designed to lock tightly into the hub so they cannot loosen with use, the blades feature a shape that is uniquely designed from hub to tip for maximum air delivery. Unlike heavy welded steel fans, the Nelson SUPERTUFF® fan has no welds that can crack, it never requires costly balancing and is very inexpensive to replace. 

The strong 2 speed fan drive gearbox (with neutral) allows further speed adjustment to utilize all available tractor horsepower for the greatest volume and velocity, providing the best coverage. Ultimate coverage is achieved in vineyards when the 3400P is equipped with the optional all stainless Vineyard Volute and S/S spring loaded lower volutes. The upper volute can blow downward and forward onto the same row or, with the optional spacer, can provide a strong air blast to the next row. Providing needed coverage from below, the lower volutes include the Nelson exclusive DOUBLE BREAK-AWAY® system that allows the volute to "give" either to the rear or toward the front, depending on direction of travel, in those really close situations.

3-STAGE FILTER SYSTEM** 

The 3-stage filter system was designed with operator comfort in mind. To extend the life and effectiveness of the filters, fresh air is drawn from the front of the cab, the cleanest location and a must for dusty or wet conditions. The entire air flow then passes up through the filter system before pressurizing the cab interior. 

FILTER PACK 

The first filter in series is a pleated paper filter that removes coarse soil, dust, grass, etc. from the air. The second filter is a 3" High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter designed to remove 99.97% of particulate material 0.3 microns or larger. And finally in the 3rd stage, 525 cubic inches of activated carbon, removes most vaporous contaminates. After passing through the system, filtered air is forced into the cabin by two heavy duty electric blowers ensuring a sustained positive pressure to over .03 inches W.G. Cab pressure is monitored by a large 4" illuminated pressure gauge for easy viewing day or night. 

MADE TO LAST 

Strength and durability are built into every unit. The NELSON SPRAY CAB® is ROPS certified*** and may be used where standard Roll Over Structures are not practical. To withstand the most adverse working conditions, the frame is made of rugged .200 wall steel tubing; and stainless steel is used in critical areas for the ultimate in corrosion resistance. All exterior joints and seams are welded and sealed; and a high quality enamel finish ensures years of dependable performance.

COMFORTABLE INTERIOR 

Comfort starts with easy access to the operator area. Two large doors open to the rear, enabling you to quickly and easily enter and exit the cab. Interior noise is reduced by the sound absorbing acoustical interior and plenty of insulation between tractor and cab. EXCELLENT VISIBILITY Tinted safety glass windows provide excellent all around visibility, especially with the High Profile top-mounted filtration model. Large windshield and lower front windows allow the operator a clear view of front tires while maneuvering through tight spaces. Top quality electric wipers and washers are provided at both front and rear to easily clear dirty windows. A complete view of the three point hitch/PTO area enables the operator to maintain accurate implement operation.

URGENT SAFETY NOTICE (January 2005)

The American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) developed ASAE S525 as an equivalent enclosed tractor cab standard to replace Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  They have changed this standard because of testing issues.  Most important of these issues are that no in-field tests are possible following repairs and there is no control on how the vehicle is used or maintained by the customer.  ASAE S525 is no longer accepted as an equivalent standard to replace PPE.

The NELSON SPRAY CAB® does, however, continue to provide our specially designed filter of 10# activated carbon and hepa media that filter out 99.97% of particles .3 microns and larger when properly serviced and maintained according to all instructions listed in the Operators Manual.  This letter is to notify you that effective immdeiately ASAE S525 states you MUST wear PPE while spraying dangerous chemicals in an enclosed cab.

Constructed of heavy 12 gauge steel, all fenders are equipped with 4-bolt mounting brackets braced inside and out.  All seams are lapped and welded on both sides.  The Nelson orchard fenders are painted in your choice of tractor colors and are available in two styles: (1) outward side of tire covered, and (2) outward side of tire exposed.
